" We Use the Mask, ” is an excellent poem authored by Paul Laurence Dunbar. The poem deals directly with racism that African- People in america faced during that time. Dunbar told this poem regarding racism and the pain and suffering that he and more felt. Langston Hughes utilizes a specific vocabulary, informal dialect, and certain structure to provide the pain and suffering slaves sensed.
